2022 James Beard Foundation Best Chef Semifinalist

March 2, 2022 - We are proud to announce that Chef Jeff has been selected as a semifinalist for Best Chef of the Northeast by the James Beard Foundation.

Chef Jeff has been working in this industry that he loves for more than 30 years and has never been happier than he has been during the past five years here in Jackson. Here, with his wife Kate and the Thompson House Eatery team, he has built a farm-to-table menu by cultivating the homestead's farm to source the freshest produce for the restaurant and the local community. By using the produce that we grow on site and partnering with local farms and purveyors, Chef Jeff can create flavorful and sustainable menus that highlight the bounty of the region.

The James Beard Awards are considered to be one of the most prestigious culinary honors in the nation. Learn more about the Awards and view the full list of semifinalists on their website JamesBeard.org

We are honored to be included in the Good Food 100 Restaurants 2020 list! This list is carefully curated based on the quantitative measurement of chefs' purchasing practices. We are so proud to be on this list for the second year in a row!

Good Food 100 Restaurants™ 2019 List

We are proud to share that we have qualified to be on Good Food 100 Restaurants 2019 list! This list is carefully curated based on the quantitative measurement of chefs' purchasing practices.

The Good Food 100 Restaurants™ is an annual list and industry impact report designed to educate eaters and celebrate restaurants for being transparent with their business practices, and using their purchasing power to support local/state, regional, and national farmers, ranchers, fishermen, and purveyors of good food.

"Chefs are in the ideal position to effect change on a planetary scale to the food system and overall sustainability for humanity. While chefs are experts in food, operations, and hospitality, we need to embrace another set of skills to achieve feeding the world while not destroying the planet or our health. The future should be delicious." - Chef Jeffrey Fournier
